MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Regular Full-Time Position (On-Site in Coeur d’Alene, ID)
Located in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Qurrent is a marine boat startup developing the most intelligent electric boats in the world. We are in production with our high-horsepower electric drivetrain and are developing our sensor suite and smart helm.
Job Responsibilities
Expertise in marine drivetrain systems and user interface design.
Designing and 3-D modeling of system or product parts and assemblies.
Generating 2-D engineering drawings and overseeing the fabrication of system components.
Design and setup of experimental systems.
Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
Rapid prototyping for early evaluation of design concepts.
Laboratory testing and data analysis.
Electro-mechanical systems and thermal management.
Sourcing components and working with vendors.
Assisting with production builds and doing initial assembly of new products.
Designing, running, evaluating, and upgrading systems and processes
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of engineering experience.
Effectively summarize engineering studies and design of experiments.
Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
Experience in statistical tolerance analysis.
A desire to work in a customer-facing engineering role.
Flexible problem-solving for prototype systems and challenging applications.
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
